Changelog & Version History

This is the timeline of all official versions of PCSX4. There will be weekly revision(R) builds from the PCSX4 core source code with minor changes.

1.4.1 – Apr 8, 2021

1.2.9 – Feb 6, 2020

– Support for up to 16 core CPUs (Experimental).

– Initial support for MacPro7,1 and Vega II GPU.
– Improved video capture codecs. VCore engine now supports HEVC / H.265 – Level up to 6.2 (encode/decode).
– Performance improvements for Orion-engine GS compiler.
– AU engine now supports up to 32 streams of audio mapping.

1.2.8 – Nov 1, 2019

– Vulkan API Update and improved performance.
– Added support for AMD RDNA cards.
– Fixed compatibility issues with Logitech G-HUB framework.

1.2.7 – Jan 12, 2019

– Added support for Vega 20/Radeon VII GPUs.
– Recompiler rebuilt to support two half-precision (16-bit) processing.
– Major fixes & performance improvements when using dual eGPU’s.

1.2.4 – Aug 31, 2018

– eGPU support. You can now select your preferred eGPU.

1.2.3 – Jul 21, 2018
– Entire emulation core has been overhauled. Many components are rewritten.
– New, threaded GUI using wxWidgets.
– New menus, for improved usability and faster configuration.
– On the fly pause and resume, perfectly stable, safe and fast.
– On the fly setting switching and even plugin switching.
– Comes translated, with many languages to select from.

1.2.2 – February 17, 2018
– OGRE-D3D: Implementation of OGRE-D3D “Shadeboost” project (saturation, brightness, contrast settings).
– OGRE-D3D: User-configurable patches in the GUI.
– OGRE-D3D: Implementation of OGRE-D3D “Cutie” project (various extra CRC patches).
